Two visits set for Harris

Four-star Malek Harris is working on setting his official visits.

Arguably the top power forward remaining in the 2014 class is former Marquette commitment Malek Harris. The 6-foot-7 athletic rebounder now has plans being set to find his final home for college.

"Malek will be visiting Kansas State on Friday," said Illinois Wolves AAU coach Mike Mullins.

Kansas State Head Coach Bruce Weber built a relationship with Harris before he committed to Marquette, and that is paying dividends by getting an official visit from him. That however is not the only trip that is being planned.

"Also Malek will visit Virginia Tech the Monday after the Jayhawk Invitational, and he is working on a visit to Gonzaga," said Mullins.

Along with Gonzaga, Virginia Tech, and Kansas State, Florida and Marquette remain firmly in the mix. Harris already committed once to Buzz Williams who is now the boss at Virginia Tech.

The plan is for Harris to make his visits and then decide on a final decision in time for him to potentially enroll this summer at the school of his choosing.
