Virginia Tech adds two commitments

Buzz Williams and Virginia Tech picked up a pair of commitments on Saturday.

Saturday turned out to be a big day for Virginia Tech and new head coach Buzz Williams.

Early Saturday morning, Williams picked up commitments from Ahmed Hill and Satchel Pierce, according to a source close to the situation.

Both players originally signed with Marquette when Williams was the coach there. They were both released this past weekend. The two pledges have been in Blacksburg (Va.) since Thursday for official visits.

Hill, a four-star guard out of Augusta (Ga.) Aquinas, is ranked No. 73 overall and No. 14 at the shooting guard position. Pierce, who attends Saltsburg (Pa.) Kiski Prep, is regarded as a three-star recruit.

Hill and Pierce joins a class that consists of four-star wing Justin Bibbs and scorer Jalen Hudson.
