Release granted for Cornish

Following the coaching change at Tennessee, Jordan Cornish is going to check out all of his options.

Another prospect originally signed with Tennessee as a member of the 2014 recruiting class has been granted his release. Three-star wing Jordan Cornish is now back on the market.

The New Orleans (La.) Brother Martin guard is considered a very good shooter with solid length and athleticism. He selected the Vols over schools such as Oklahoma, Houston, Purdue, and VCU the first time around, and now he is going to go through the recruiting process again.

"Jordan has been granted his full release from his letter of intent," said Cornish's mother Monique.

Given his ability to shoot the basketball there is no doubt that numerous schools will work to get involved in his recruitment, though right now the family is wide open.

"We just got the release minutes ago, so no schools have contacted us," said Cornish. "We just want to see what is out there and see who is interested. Right now there is no school list."

Cornish will now see who contacts him and begin the recruiting process over.
