The 2014 prospect has good size and length, a nice stroke and can score from all three levels. He's also a capable ball handler that ran point guard for his high school team this season.
This week, Wazzu gave Davis, who ran with Gamepoint Elite last summer, something to think about when it offered.
"We were really excited about the offer," said Jackie Davis, Sr. "We're looking forward to learning more about coach (Ernie) Kent, doing our research, continuing to go through the process and helping my son find the best fit."
Before Davis makes a decision, he'll likely see some of the schools involved.
"After we sit down and look at everything that's on the table, then we'll set up some visits," Davis, Sr. said.
Davis, Sr. and his son want to make sure they do their homework before committing anywhere.
"From here I think we look at the different situations and try to determine the best fit for the next four years of his college career," he said.
