Offers roll in for Williams

No one raised their stock at the EYBL this past weekend more than 6-foot-3 guard Kenny Williams. His play led to new offers and interest.

Kenny Williams shot his way into new scholarship offers and interest this past weekend.

Playing for Boo Williams in the EYBL Sacrmento event, Williams pumped in 16 threes on 26 attempts. In all the 6-foot-3 shooter is currently 19th in the EYBL in scoring and is averaging 16.8 points a game through four games.

"I think I played really well," Williams told Scout.com. "I could've done some things better, but I think it was good."

A standout at Chesterfield (Va.) L.C. Bird, Williams proved to be a legit long-range shooter. His range is deep, he has a quick release and his shot preparation is impressive.

Prior to this weekend, Williams had scholarship offers from VCU, North Arizona, Hofstra, Longwood, William & Mary, Old Dominion and George Mason.

Since the EYBL session ended, Williams has picked up offers from Richmond , Virginia Tech, Minnesota, Cincinnati and Memphis. He's also added interest from North Carolina, Indiana, Wichita State and Temple.

To date, Shaka Smart and VCU have recruited him the hardest.

"They've probably shown the most interest to this point," Williams said.

Williams averaged 21.3 points and 5.7 rebounds a game during his junior season at L.C. Bird.
