Elite offers for Moore

Upside and potential are through the roof with Doral Moore who had a solid showing this past weekend.

Four-star center Doral Moore is one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the country. The Locust Grove (Ga.) Luella standout had a solid showing at the Pitt Jam Fest, and some of the nation's top schools remain very interested in him.

"Mostly I have been working on my post-up game, and also trying to get down and dirty on the low block," said Moore.

With his legit size at 6-foot-11 and 225 pounds combined with good athleticism and developing skill, Moore has the chance to be a big time player before it is all said and done. With that numerous college coaches are deep in his recruitment.

"I have a lot of offers but the ones that stick out the most are Illinois, Ohio State, Texas, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Louisville, and a couple of others," said Moore.

Ohio State dispatched an assistant to watch Moore all weekend long, and Moore says he is taking a close look at the Buckeyes.

"I know that they have produced good bigs," said Moore. "They have had Jared Sullinger and some other bigs come out of there, and I know that they would use me not only on defense but on offense as well."

Another Big Ten school, Illinois, also had a coach watching. Head Coach John Groce checked out Moore over the weekend, and he has stayed in touch with the Illini.

"Illinois has been contacting me a lot," said Moore. "They tell me how they want to use me as someone who can shoot it as well as rebound and play defense."

Kentucky will likely have to replace a lot of members of their frontcourt for the 2015 season and they are beginning to turn up the heat on Moore.

"I have been in contact with the assistant coaches, but Coach (John) Calipari is supposed to call my dad and talk about everything," said Moore. "I like Kentucky and they have a good program."

For now Moore is in no hurry to make a decision, and wants to take his time and do his research on all of the programs recruiting him.

"I will have a decision by next fall," Moore explained. "I am going to look for how teams use their bigs on offense and also I am looking at academics and who has my major."
