McGhee commits to UT

Jabari McGhee will play in the SEC. The athletic power forward committed on Friday.

Jabari McGhee is headed to Tennessee.

A standout at Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy, McGhee committed to Donnie Tyndall and his staff early Friday morning during his visit, per sources.

McGhee had taken recent college visits to Western Kentucky, Florida Gulf Coast and UL Lafayette. Tyndall prioritzed McGhee when he was hired at Tennessee.

McGhee is known for his athleticism and energy. At 6-foot-7, he plays hard and with toughness. Rebounding is arguably his biggest strength. Hargrave coach A.W. Hamilton says he's a relentless competitor.
