Graham pledges to Kansas

Devonte Graham made his college on Friday. The 6-foot-1 guard committed to Bill Self and Kansas.

Kansas has their point guard.

Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy standout Devonte Graham committed to Bill Self and Kansas on Friday. Graham confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"I just now committed to Kansas," Graham told Scout.com. "It was just the feeling that I had with coach [Bill] Self. I feel that I can fit in there and they were really the best place for me."

"I think It was the best place for me as a player and as a person," Graham added. "Just the family atmosphere, I felt like I fit in with their system."

Graham also took college visits to North Carolina State and Virginia. In the end, his decision came down to Kansas and N.C. State. Graham said his visit to Lawrence (Kans.) helped him realize Kansas was the best spot for him.

"After I took my visits and evaluated things I was just like, 'yup that's where I want to go.' I really enjoyed the visit a lot when I was out there."

On the court, Graham, who is ranked No. 41 overall by Scout.com, is a dynamic floor general that can help the Jayhawks right away. He's a good passer and leader and can score when he needs to.

"I think I fit in great with the players," he said. "I played with talented players before, but I haven't played with this big group of talent. I think I'll fit in great."

Graham is regarded as the No. 9 point guard in the class.
