The transfer from the state of Michigan to New Hampton is something that Turner feels helped him quite a bit.
"I think it helped me mature and improve all around," said Turner. "I don't think there is anything like the competition I went against not only during practice but during the games as well."
Recruiting wise Turner has a wide range of schools after him. Turner is both a good basketball player and an excellent student.
The offer from Iowa State is a longstanding one. He has been a top priority of Assistant Coach Cornell Mann for a while, and Turner likes the Cyclones.
"I like Iowa State they had a really good year this year, they use their guards, and I have a good relationship with the coaching staff," said Turner of Iowa State.
The combination of academics and athletics at Stanford is something that definitely appeals to Turner.
"Obviously they have a great program and Stanford is a great school," said Turner. "It was great to get an offer from them and I hope to see the school for a visit."
For now Turner is in no hurry to make a college decision and hopes to make some more visits before coming to a decision. Currently he is listed as the No. 23 small forward in the class of 2015.
