"The spring has gone really well," said Washington. "We have played pretty well as a team. Everybody is playing well, I think I am playing pretty well, and it is going good."
Recruiting wise the 6-foot-2 Washington is really beginning to add interest. Washington has shown to be a true floor general who runs a team with the ability to make outside shots, and both mid and high-major programs are beginning to really take note.
Virginia has been involved with Washington for a while, and he says he likes the ACC power quite a bit.
"It is very good to have an offer from Virginia," said Washington. "Coach (Tony) Bennett has watched me work out a couple of times and it is incredible to have an offer from them and I really like the coaching staff."
While Buzz Williams is new to campus in Blacksburg, the Virginia Tech boss informed Washington that his offer issued by the old staff would still be honored.
"I spoke to the new staff a little bit and they told me I still have an offer, but we haven't talked real in depth yet," explained Washington.
At this point Washington doesn't have any specific timeframe for a decision, but he does have a fairly good idea of what he will be looking for in a school when it does come time for a commitment.
"I am just looking for a place that will be a home away from home that will be a good place to be for four years," said Washington.
Currently Washington is seen as the No. 10 point guard, and the No. 42 prospect overall in the class of 2016.
