Guy talks visits

Guard Kyle Guy is one of the most heavily recruited players in the state of Indiana, and is planning a few more unofficial visits.

Three-star guard Kyle Guy is having a strong spring running with Indiana Elite. The 6-foot-2 Guy is showing his versatility and shot making, and now more schools are entering the fray in his recruitment.

"It is going really well so far," said Guy of his spring. "Open gym in school ball is getting competitive and then in AAU we are playing well it has been great. I have had a great experience."

He continued, "I think I have been playing real well. The competition we are playing against as well as who I have on my team has helped me to improve a lot."

Recruiting wise Guy has picked up early offers, and also has significant interest coming from schools all over the country.

"Basically the whole Big Ten, Vanderbilt, California, Louisville, Butler, Tennessee, Xavier, and schools like that are recruiting me," said Guy. "I will probably take an unofficial visit to Louisville and Xavier soon."

Louisville is a new school in the mix for Guy, and he says things have picked up since Kenny Johnson was hired on as an assistant coach.

"Ever since Coach Johnson went there they started recruiting me," said Guy of the Cardinals. "He has been saying great things about Louisville and how they expect nothing less than the best, so I am looking forward to seeing the campus and the facilities."

Xavier is a school that Guy is familiar with, but he says he wants to see the campus again soon.

"I have a really good relationship with them and I like the coaching staff a lot," said Guy of the Musketeers. "I have already been down there once and I have a lot of family in Cincinnati so I have seen the campus multiple times. Hopefully I can see a game or an open gym or something."

One school that has been a constant presence in Guy's recruitment is Indiana. The Hoosiers were one of his first offers, and they continue to be very active recruiting him.

"Things are good with Indiana," said Guy. "I talked with Coach (Tom) Crean on the phone for about an hour a week ago, and we talked about developing my game and where things stand with them. They are still high on my board like any other school."

At the moment there is no timeline for a commitment from Guy, he says he is still in the process of gathering all needed information on his options.
