"I think I am playing alright," said Sheffield about his spring. "I need to be more aggressive and make more shots, but I think I am playing good defense and stuff like that."
Overall in the last 12 months Sheffield feels that he has gotten better as a player and is becoming more well-rounded.
"I thought I did really good during the high school year," explained Sheffield. "I rebounded better, scored better, and played a better all-around game."
Recruiting wise things remain busy for Sheffield. He made a visit to Stanford earlier in the month, and came away very impressed with what he saw.
"It was fun," said Sheffield of the trip. "I got to talk to the coaches, see the campus, and talk to the players. I got to play in open gym with them so that was good as well."
He continued, "I thought the guys on the team were real cool, and I think I could fit in there."
Specifically new Houston coach Kelvin Sampson has been in very close contact with Sheffield, and Sheffield likes what the Cougars are saying.
"They play a pro-style offense and have a pro system and they say I would fit in really well with what they are doing," explained Sheffield. "I have been talking to them a lot."
For now Sheffield is in no hurry to make a college decision. He wants to see his options and who is recruiting him while gaining as much information as possible about each school.
