Interest coming for Adel

Deng Adel is one player who has exploded on the scene with a strong spring for Florida Elite.

One class of 2015 prospect who is making an impact this spring is Deng Adel. Running with Florida Elite, Adel is showing his big time physical tools. At nearly 6-foot-7, Adel can play all over the court and has a ton of natural ability.

Adel is new to the country and this spring is his first chance to really get out on the circuit and be seen, and so far he feels things are going well.

"It is going well," said Adel. "This is my first AAU season playing in these tournaments since I came from Australia last year. I am just having fun and seeing what my future will be like."

He continued, "My game is improving. I am working on my ball handling every day, getting shots up, and just trying to get better all around."

Recruiting wise Adel says a few schools have really picked things up with him.

"Right now I have Louisville, Florida, and UConn," listed Adel. "I let my coach handle a lot of that, but those three schools are recruiting me real hard."

While Adel is new to this country, he has been watching college basketball for a little while, so there is familiarity with the schools now recruiting him.

"I was always watching basketball in Australia, I didn't really grow up watching any teams, but I have always been watching the game," said Adel.

One school that has specifically been after Adel is Louisville, and Adel is glad to be hearing from the ACC school.

"Being recruited by a school like that is crazy," said Adel. "They are one of the best programs and it is an honor to have them recruiting me."

Also the Florida Gators have made Adel a priority, and he has been happy to hear from the in-state power.

"It is exciting to hear from Florida," said Adel. "You get excited when you hear from a school like that, and their coaches seem like great guys."

The current national champions are also in the mix, and that is a huge deal for Adel.

"It is always good to hear from a team that just won a national title," said Adel. "I love watching March Madness, and to see them win it all and have them recruiting me is exciting."

While Adel is currently unranked, look for him to make a big time debut in the rankings when they are next updated in the near future.
