Big interest in Adams

Four-star shooting guard Jalen Adams is one of the most explosive scorers in the class of 2015, and college coaches are lining up for his services.

One of the top scorers in the class of 2015 is Jalen Adams. Running with Mass Rivals on the AAU circuit, Adams has put up huge numbers this spring. With that he is continuing to pick up interest, and has seen his recruitment expand.

"I think the spring is going a lot better than last year," said Adams. "There have been no injuries and we are winning a lot, so that is a good thing."

At 6-foot-2 and being a tremendous athlete, Adams gets baseline to baseline in a hurry with the basketball and is always in attack mode. While not a point guard, Adams does think he has greatly improved in the last 12 months.

"My game has gotten a lot better," said Adams. "I think I got a lot better working out with guys like Kaleb Joseph at my school during the year."

Recruiting wise some high powered schools have been showing Adams significant attention.

"UConn, Minnesota, Kansas, Creighton, Rhode Island, Louisville, and a few other schools are talking to me a lot," noted Adams.

Connecticut and Head Coach Kevin Ollie came home with the national title this past season, and Adams has built a strong relationship with him.

"Coach Ollie is a cool guy," Adams explained. "I like him a lot, and he tells me how I fit well into their system and that he likes the way I play."

Another school that has put in significant work recruiting Adams is Minnesota, and he likes how the Golden Gophers like to get out and run.

"They definitely are a fast paced team which I like a lot, and they let their guards play which is a good thing," Adams explained of Minnesota.

For now Adams is just in the information gathering stage. He doesn't have any plans to make visits, and isn't even sure at this point which schools he will see.
