Briscoe nearly ready to cut list

It has been a tremendous spring for Isaiah Briscoe who is about ready to trim his list of potential schools.

Not many guards have had a better season than Roselle (NJ) Catholic standout Isaiah Briscoe. The 6-foot-3 combo guard has carried the New Jersey Playaz all spring long, and now it is going to the point where he is going to cut down his school list.

"I think I have been playing good and as a team we are playing well and I think we are ready for Peach Jam," said Briscoe of his spring.

Always a kid who has shown the ability to score, Briscoe now is doing a better job of running a team and doing all of the little things needed to help his team win.

"I think I have improved as a leader and doing more to fill up the stat sheet than just scoring," said Briscoe.

Recruiting wise schools such as Louisville, Arizona, Seton Hall, St. John's, Rutgers, SMU, Miami, and Florida State have been involved with Briscoe over the past few months.

According to Briscoe he is getting ready to chop that school list down to a manageable number soon.

"I don't know exactly right now, but I promise I will have my list cut down in two weeks," said Briscoe. "I promise I will have it cut down for everybody before then."

When he does chop down his list, more than anything one factor is going to come into play.

"I am just keeping in touch with the coaches and building relationships," said Briscoe. "I want to win, that is going to be the most important thing to me."

For now Briscoe has no visits set up, but he plans to make some over the summer before he eventually commits to a school.
