Holman shows improvement

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A name to keep an eye on out of Kentucky in the 2015 class is 6-foot-9 big man Aric Holman.

During the Kentucky/Indiana Junior All-Star Classic, which took place on Saturday at Lexington (Ky.) Dunbar, Aric Holman, a 6-foot-9 power forward, showed significant improvement.

Holman, a 2015 recruit out of Owensboro (Ky.) High, ran the floor, was active on the glass and completed plays in the paint.

"I think I've improved a little bit, especially with my back to the basket," Holman told Scout.com. "My main goal is to put on weight for next season."

Holman finished with eight points and 12 rebounds in the loss to the top junior players in Indiana. He was especially active on the offensive glass, where he pulled in seven rebounds.

"I would say mainly my defense and my offensive presence, like passing the ball, but mainly my defense," Holman responded when asked to describe his game.

Holman's college recruitment is just now getting off the ground. He currently has a wide range of interest.

"Right now I have interest from Minnesota, Louisville, Western Kentucky and Murray State," Holman said. "I have an offer from Kentucky Wesleyan and Northern Kentucky."

"I took a visit to Louisville and I plan on taking an unofficial visit to Western," Holman said.

As a junior, Holman averaged 13 points and eight rebounds a game.
