Three Schools Land Commitments

Recently, three schools received commitments. Apparently, Memphis does in fact hold a commitment from Almany Thiero. Brett Howell is going to William & Mary and DePaul gained the services of Marcus White

White To DePaul

BlueChipHoops, through our sources, has confirmed that Chicago (IL) Whitney Young forward Marcus White is indeed headed to DePaul. White was unavailable for comment, but sources close to the situation confirmed his commitment. The 6-7 PF played well this spring and summer for Stan White's Illinois Gold program.

Thiero Does Indeed Pick Memphis

In the next few days, we hope to speak with Durham (NC) Mount Zion PF Almany Thiero and get his thoughts on his college choice. However, in the meantime, we have confirmed with Team Georgia head coach Linzy Davis, that Thiero will pick Memphis. There was some confusion created last weekend when the word out of Mount Zion was that Thiero would wait until September to sign, but Davis said it's a done deal.

Howell To Enroll In January At W&M

Brett Howell, a shooter from Auburn, Ala., recently was released from his letter of intent with Eastern Kentucky and will enroll at William and Mary this January. Howell made his mark with a few Alabama AAU teams the past few years as a player who is capable of making perimeter jump shots. The 6-0 Howell was unavailable for comment.
