"I think I played well at a couple of the Under Armour sessions we had so far," explained Jones of his play. "I think I am averaging like 16 or 18 points a game, so I think I am doing well with that and I have done well at the camps I have been to."
At 6-foot-6 with long arms and freakish athleticism, Jones has always had major potential. Now he feels he is turning that potential into production.
"Last year everybody just thought I was a high flyer, and I was, but I also had a jump shot," said Jones. "Now because people think I am just a high flyer they play off of me and I was working all year on my ball handling and jump shot so I think I am showing that and proving everybody wrong."
When it comes to his recruitment, Jones says he hopes to make several visits before coming to a decision.
According to Jones the interest in Louisville has picked up since assistant coach Kenny Johnson joined the program.
"I have been talking to Coach (Rick) Pitino a little bit," noted Jones. "I had a good relationship with Coach (Kenny) Johnson when he was at Indiana. Louisville is a school that is on my list and I like them a lot, but I am not ready to narrow down my list yet or anything."
A school that has long been mentioned with Jones is Syracuse, and he feels he could fit in well with what the Orange do.
"It is a good program for sure," said Jones of Syracuse. "They play zone and I would do that. I think I might fit in better playing man, but Syracuse gets out on the break and I think I would fit in well with what they do. They let their guards play and it is a school I like."
Currently Jones is the No. 11 small forward and the No. 42 prospect overall in the 2015 class.
