In terms of where he stands in the recruiting process, Davis said, "I am enjoying talking to the coaches and getting all the information that I can get. I am going to narrow things down after July. Things have been kind of busy recently, and I am just trying to enjoy everything."
Most recently Davis picked up an offer from Michigan, and he says that was big.
"Me and Coach (John) Beilein keep in contact regularly," explained Davis. "Coach Beilein is a great guy, and I was excited about the offer and look forward to staying in contact with them."
Michigan State was one of the first schools to offer Davis, and has long been considered one of his favorites. Recently the Spartans picked up numerous commitments in the backcourt, but Davis says that is not an issue for him.
"I have talked to them, and Coach (Tom) Izzo has flat out told me he needs players," said Davis. "Each school needs players, and I want to go to a school with other good players, so everything has been good and we are staying in contact."
While he has visited Michigan and Michigan State numerous times, two schools high on his list are UNLV and UCLA who he is hoping to get a better feel of on visits. While the dates aren't set yet, Davis knows he will make an official visit to both schools.
About UCLA, Davis said, "I just want to see the atmosphere. Steve Alford does a great job with his guards. He lets them play and lets them have fun. Also Coach Alford is a great guy off the court. He cares about all of his players, and that is the main thing I like about him. He cares about your wellbeing and what you do after basketball."
When it comes to UNLV, Davis said, "Coach (Todd) Simon is originally from Michigan near where I live, and we have been talking a lot. Also I have talked to Coach (Dave) Rice and I just feel comfortable talking with those guys. They are always positive and they give me confidence and they seem like coaches that would be fun to play for."
For now Davis is in no rush to make a decision, and expect him to make numerous visits before coming to a final choice.
