Isaiah Briscoe cuts list to seven schools

Roselle (N.J.) Catholic five-star guard Isaiah Briscoe has narrowed his list of colleges to seven, according to his father - George. Cardinal Authority has a report on the final seven.

Roselle (N.J.) Catholic guard Isaiah Briscoe told Cardinal Authority two weeks ago that he still enjoyed the recruiting process, but he did say at times it "gets hectic."

Now, the 6-foot-2 Briscoe doesn't have to worry about as many schools. The five-star prospect cut his list to seven schools.

George Briscoe, the player's father, said the list is Louisville, Connecticut, Villanova, Arizona, Rutgers, St. John's and Seton Hall.

Briscoe is expected to make visits to U of L, Arizona and UConn sometime before school starts again and said recently he wants to make a decisions "sometime this fall."

Briscoe, who made the USA Basketball U-18 team that took home the gold medal last weekend in the FIBA Americas U18 Championship, is ranked as the No. 16 player in the Class of 2015 by and checks in as a the No. 3 shooting guard.

In that interview, Briscoe said he had U of L high on his list of schools regardless of how many he was going to cut it.

"I like them a lot," Briscoe said. "It's a great program and they have one of the best coaches in basketball. Louisville is up there."
