Four-star power forward Trevor Manuel continues to get major attention on the recruiting trail.
The recruiting process continues to pick up for four-star power forward Trevor Manuel
. The 6-foot-9 Manuel is a skilled power forward who is having a strong summer for The Family on the AAU circuit. Now he is set to put on a show during the month of July.
"It has been a good summer," said Manuel. "We have a good season in the EYBL. Now we have play in that qualifying game to see if we get into the Peach Jam. Hopefully we win that, and then win it all."
Manuel has always been noted as someone who has a lot of talent, now he says he working to be a better overall player and producer.
"I've been making myself a well-rounded player," said Manuel. "I have worked on my shot and my handle, and I am trying to be more physical so I have been in the weight room."
Recruiting wise several schools are in close contact with Manuel heading into the July evaluation period.
"I am talking to Florida State
, and Michigan State
mostly," said Manuel.
He continued, "I don't have any visits planned, but I am thinking about taking a visit to Oregon and Florida State for sure."
About Oregon, Manuel said, "They are an up and coming program. Also I like their playing style, they get up and down the court, and it is just a fast paced program."
Florida State has put in a lot of work with Manuel, he says he likes a lot about the program.
"They play up and down and I really like the ACC," said Manuel. "They give their players freedom on the court, and I just like them a lot."
Things with Minnesota are also starting to pick up in a big way, and Manuel is eager to show the coaching staff what he can do.
"I think they are going to offer me pretty soon," said Manuel. "Their coaches tell me they are really interested and that they are going to watch me in July."
For now Manuel has no timeline for a decision, but he does hope to make at least a few visits before issuing a commitment.
