Ryan chooses Fighting Irish

You haven't heard much from Ryan recently, as the 2015 wing currently is mending after undergoing surgery earlier this year for a hip injury.

But Matt Ryan certainly wasn't forgotten. He had claimed scholarship offers from numerous major programs after last summer, and those programs opted to stick it out despite the fact that they knew he'd miss the entire evaluation period.

Ryan chose not to deliberate any further, however, committing to the school that reportedly led for him a year ago at this time: Notre Dame.

He announced his decision via Twitter:

"Honored and excited to say I will be attending the University of Notre Dame in the fall of 2015 #goIrish"

Ryan ranks among the most deadly three-point marksmen in the Class of 2015. He boasts a smooth stroke with a quick release and easy range past the stripe. He's also a confident, intelligent, tough and well-seasoned player with a frame that will enable him to add plenty of muscle for the ACC. Though not athletically explosive, Notre Dame has succeeded with that kind of player in the past.

With his recruitment concluded, Ryan now can focus on healing fully and his senior season.

He became the Fighting Irish's first commitment from the senior class.
