Five after Williams the hardest

Kenny Williams filled in on the latest at the recent LeBron James Skills Academy.

Kenny Williams, a four-star shooting guard out of Chesterfield (Va.) LC Bird, told at the LeBron James Skills Academy that VCU, Georgetown, North Carolina, Michigan and Indiana are the schools prioritizing him.

“After the season is over, I’ll probably take a couple more unofficials and that’s when I’ll narrow my list down,” Williams said. “Then I’ll take some officials.”

Williams commented on each of the five schools involved in his recruitment:

North Carolina: “It’s been going pretty well. I’ve talked to coach Williams a couple of times. I mainly talk to coach Davis. He’s the main one talking to me. But coach Williams calls me every once and a while. We are building a relationship.”

VCU: “It’s a lot of things. Really it’s being able to stay home and my family being able to watch me play. But I like Shaka [Smart] a lot too.”

Michigan: “Michigan I like coach Beilein a lot. He’s a good guy and he’s genuine. That’s one of my to things that I like about them and the fact that he develops his players says a lot.”

Georgetown: “Georgetown just has so much history. That ties into going in and building a legacy also.”

Indiana: “With Indiana, the main thing is I like coach [Tom] Crean a lot and just going in and reuniting with Rob [Johnson] would be cool.”

Williams told that intends to sign during the initial signing period.
