2016 Intro: Alize Travis
One point guard that has upped his stock this spring is 6-foot-1, 155-pound Victorville (Calif.) Silverado's Alize Travis. The 2016 prospect is very fast and specializes in the open court, where his vision helps him consistently make the right pass. He also showed the ability to knock down shots from both midrange and three, while playing hard on defense. "I make everyone better," Travis said. "I try to get everyone involved and make them better. I can score if needed but I like creating for my teammates. I'm working on my shot as well as getting stronger and faster." Travis, who says that he's grown two or three inches over the last year, is hearing from a handful of schools. "I'm getting recruited by USC, U.C. Riverside, Pepperdine, Portland State, U.C. Irvine, New Mexico State and Arizona State," he said. There's one local school that Travis grew up a fan of. "I grew up rooting for USC," Travis said. "That's the home school." When Travis' recruitment picks up, he'll look for a combination of academics and basketball. "I want to be an engineer and go to a place that has a good situation for me," he said. "I want it to be like a family atmosphere where I can be comfortable."
