2016 Intro: Terrell Gomez
One of the most under-appreciated 2016 point guards on the West Coast is 5-foot-8, 145-pound Terrell Gomez out of Inglewood (Calif.). While Gomez is obviously undersized, he's a very athletic and tough point guard that makes good decisions with the ball, handles it very well, is a lethal shooter off the bounce and plays relentless defense. Terrell's brother, DeShawn Gomez, played at Iona and was 6-foot-2, so it's still possible that he grows. Regardless, his athleticism and skill set will likely make him a successful college player. "Right now I think the best part of my game is my IQ and my jump shot," Gomez said. "I’ve been working on pick and roll reads and using my body more. "I want to get about five rebounds a game and keep working on picking up the other point guard full court." Gomez currently has interest from Pepperdine, Arizona State, USC, San Francisco and Northern Arizona. In a perfect world, he'll stay somewhat close to home. "My brother told me if I can, it would be good to stay on the West Coast," Gomez said. "I just want the best fit. I want to be with good people and great coaches."
