Vick keeps adding offers
Playing with Team Thad on the AAU circuit, LeGerald Vick has a chance to show off his extreme athleticism and improving skill set. Now the Memphis (Tenn.) Douglass standout is beginning to rack up high-major offers. At around 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds, Vick has big time athleticism to go along with solid size which means he is versatile on both ends of the court. Overall Vick says the summer is going very well for him. “I think I am playing better so far,” said Vick. “I am getting more recruiting interest. Playing with Team Thad has helped me a lot, and I think I am having a good summer.” Recruiting wise Vick has become a top priority for numerous high-major programs with his improved play. “I am hearing from Ole Miss, Cincinnati, Arkansas, Wichita State, Florida, Missouri, and Mississippi State,” said Vick. One of Vick’s most recent offers was from Cincinnati, and he has a lot of interest in the Bearcats programs. “It was good to get an offer from them,” said Vick. “It was a privilege to hear from them since they are a great program.” Another school who recently offered was Arkansas. The Razorbacks have been in the mix for a while, and Vick likes what they have to offer. “Arkansas is close to home and my coach’s son played for Arkansas, Todd Day, so I know a little bit about them,” Vick explained. “I think I would fit into their system as well.” One school that has been in the mix with an offer for a while is Mississippi, and Vick has some familiarity with that program as well. “They had a great shooter in Marshall Henderson and I think it would be a good place to play, and a former Team Thad guy, Marcanvis Hymon, is going there,” said Vick. For now Vick has no specific timetable for a decision, but he does know what he will be looking for in a school. “Basically I am looking for the right system for me and a place with good coaches who win,” said Vick. Look for Vick to continue to be tracked by numerous programs as they finish out July and more coaches have a chance to see him.
