Williams Looking At Five

Omar Williams, a swingman from Philadelphia (PA) Celestial Prep, says he has his school list down to five programs.

Williams Changes Schools

Last year, 6-7, 180 pound small forward Omar Williams attended Philadelphia (PA) Christian. This year, the fifth-year prep standout that plays AAU ball with Sam Rines, is switching locations. He's transferring to Celestial Prep, also in Philly.

His recruitment is starting to take shape and he's narrowing his list. "'I've got it down to around five schools," Williams said. George Washington, Virginia, UConn, Ohio State and LaSalle are the five he's looking at right now. He hasn't set any visit dates, but indicated that he would like to visit each player. According to Williams, all have offered with the exception of UConn.

"I want to be able to come in and play right away. That's what I'm looking for. Probably Ohio State and George Washington are the leaders right now. They've just been with me the longest."

Last year, Williams averaged 12 points and 7 rebounds for Philadelphia Christian.
