Eubanks focused on six

Drew Eubanks has seen his stock really rise over the summer and now he has a handful of schools seriously recruiting him.

One of the biggest emergences out of the summer evaluation period was 6-foot-10, 210-pound Troutdale (Ore.) Reynolds 2015 center Drew Eubanks.

A mobile post, Eubanks plays very hard, is a talented defender, has a good frame, hands and feet and has the upside to make a big impact at the next level.

"I play big in the paint, rebound and get second shot opportunities," said Eubanks. "I'm working on my on-ball defense, not letting people get by me. I could be more vocal too."

Eubanks is relatively new to basketball, starting playing seriously as a freshman. He also plays baseball, and wherever he goes to college, he plans on playing both.

"The basketball coaches I've talked to have discussed me playing baseball with the coaches at their school and mostly they've said yes, since they'll get a pitcher for free," Eubanks said. "I want to play both."

The rising senior has offers from Washington State, Portland and San Diego, but told he's only seriously considering Portland, Oregon State, Gonzaga, Washington, California and San Diego.

Eubanks doesn't plan on taking too long before making a decision.

"I'll probably take a couple visits in August," Eubanks said. "I want to make a decision in the fall."

The majority of Eubanks' school list is close to home, which is a preference of his.

"Location is important, so my parents so can see me," he said. "I'd rather not go across the country."
