Athj holds two offers

Serigne Athj has two offers and some high major attention, as the late-blooming 2015 prospect has seen his recruitment pick up lately.

Serigne Athj exited his junior season without a whole lot of recruiting interest, but the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Van Nuys (Calif.) Birmingham small forward is starting to see attention pick up.

A versatile 2015 wing, Athj describes himself as a player that can help his team at multiple positions.

"I'm a slasher; I like to get to the basket and I can also shoot the three," Athj said. "If anyone plays me to take away the three, I can hit the midrange jumper.

"I need to work on my handle and being a point guard because I really want to play the point in college. I need to work on keeping my head up and seeing the court at all times."

So far, Saint Mary's and Cal Poly have offered Athj with Arizona State, California and Florida State amongst the schools showing interest.

For now, Athj is focused on improving his game.

"I just want to keep working on my game and getting all the schools I can; I'll make a decision from there," he said.

No one stands out for Athj at this point and who offers will dictate his timetable.

"I'm wide open," Athj said. "I'd like to make an early decision if I can get a school I want."
