Jacobson to the Big Ten
The Nebraska Cornhuskers landed their first commitment late on Thursday evening. The Huskers dipped into the state of Iowa to snag power forward Michael Jacobson. At around 6-foot-7 with a nice shooting touch, Jacobson is the type of power forward who can stretch a defense while also showing some toughness and ability to rebound. After scouting Jacobson extensively throughout July, Nebraska offered a scholarship. A source confirmed to Scout.com on Thursday night that Jacobson pulled the trigger and committed to the Big Ten school. Jacobson is also a high level football prospect and an excellent student. Even though he has potential in both sports, Jacobson will focus on basketball exclusively when he gets to college. This is the first commitment for Nebraska in the 2015 class.
