Jeter goes with Duke

Chase Jeter committed to Duke on national television at adidas Nations.

Mike Krzyzewski and Duke were aggressive with their pursuit of five-star big man Chase Jeter. On Monday, the 6-foot-10 post player offered up a verbal pledge to the Blue Devils, while at adidas Nations.

Jeter also considered UCLA, Arizona, UNLV, Kansas, Oregon and a host of other programs.

A standout at Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman, Jeter has made substantial improvements to his game over the past year. Not only has he grown, but also his body has filled out and he’s becoming quite comfortable as a scorer with his back to the rim.

Not only does he has good touch on his scoring moves and hooks, but he’s also able to face the rim for mid-range jump shots. Jeter has always been highly regarded, but his recent improvements landed him a spot in’s top 10.

To go with his offensive capabilities, Jeter is a strong area rebounder and because of his size is able to get to his fair share of shot attempts.

Jeter is currently regarded as the No. 8 overall prospect and the No. 5 center in the 2015 recruiting class.

Duke now has a pair of highly touted players in their 2015 class. Jeter joins five-star shooting guard Luke Kennard to make up their current two-man class.
