Wisconsin Nabs Two In As Many Days

The Wisconsin Badgers are hot. For the second time in as many days, they've added a player. Each new Badger is athletic and speaks to the style that the new Badger regime will one day implement in Madison.

Two Days, Two Commitments

Bo Ryan isn't messing around. On Wednesday, the Badgers added SF Ray Nixon, a Milwaukee native, to their 2002 recruiting class. On Thursday, Ryan received another piece of good news.

Alando Tucker, a 6-5 swingman from Lockport (IL) High committed to Wisconsin. Though he didn't attend either of the major shoe camps, Tucker was busy this summer. He reportedly played well at the Hoosier Shootout which ran concurrent to the Nike Camp in Indiana.

"They have a pretty good academic program and he went up there and looked at the school and committed," Jimmy Tucker, Alando's uncle told BCH.

Tucker received interest from a number of high and mid-major programs. Last year, he averaged 21 points and five rebounds a contest. He played AAU ball with the Illinois Warriors during the 2001 AAU season.
