Iowa State Gets Big Twice

Iowa State joined the ranks of schools holding commitments. The Cyclones added a pair of big men on Thursday. One of them was a former standout with the Illinois Fire who is set to complete his two-year stint at junior college.

ISU Adds Two

Larry Eustachy received a pair of commitments, both from big men, on Thursday.

Snow Junior College center Jackson Vroman, a 6-10, 230 pound specimen committed to the Cyclones. He averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds last year. Van Coleman of FutureStarsOnline says that Vroman has an impressive 35-inch vertical leap and compares him to a big Martin Rancik.

Chris Alexander, a 7-0, 240 pound center and native of Chicago, also committed to the Cyclones. Alexander starred alongside the likes of Imari Sawyer, Reo Logan, Luther Head and Sean Dockery a few years ago with the Illinois Fire. In high school, he was a very long bodied rebounder who was proficient in blocking shots. Last year, he was hampered by a broken jaw.
