Blakeney schedules U of L visit

Orlando, Fla., Oak Ridge shooting guard Antonio Blakeney will make his first official visit next weekend when he comes to Louisville. Blakeney will be making the trip on Labor Day weekend to the Cardinals, who have made him a top target for almost two years in the Class of 2015.

The University of Louisville basketball program has made Orlando, Oak Ridge High School shooting guard Antonio Blakeney a recruiting priority for almost two years.

Blakeney has been to U of L for a game last winter and was back for an AAU event last month. Now, he's headed back for an official visit.

Per his AAU coach, the 6-foot-4 Blakeney will make the trip to Louisville next weekend. He's expected to arrive on Sunday with his mother.

Ranked as the No. 21 player in the Class of 2015, Blakeney recently narrowed his list to Florida State, Louisville, Missouri, Kentucky, Oregon, LSU and USC.

A visit to U of L would be the first official for Blakeney, who doesn't have any other visits set up at this point.

Blakeney could be the final piece to an impressive recruiting haul for Rick Pitino and U of L. Donovan Mitchell, Raymond Spalding and Deng Adel have already committed to the Cardinals.

South Carolina point guard Perry Dozier, who was expected to visit next weekend, has rescheduled for the Oct. 3 weekend because of a conflict with he had at home.
