Tennessee adds Schofield

Tennessee dipped into the state of Illinois to land their most recent recruit.

The Tennessee Volunteers reaped some benefits from their weekend Elite Camp by landing a commitment. Zion (Ill) Benton Township wing Admiral Schofield decided to pick the school.

A physically impressive wing, Schofield had a solid month of July in which he saw his stock rise in the eyes of college coaches. Tennessee was one of the schools that showed him the most interest, and in the end he decided the SEC school was right for him.

"I have committed to play basketball at the university of Tennessee," Schofield announced.

At 6-foot-5 and around 210 pounds, Schofield is a wing who loves to attack the rim and is a physical rebounder and defender on the wing. He also brings a solid amount of versatility to the floor.

According to Schofield, the coaching staff and the players made all the difference in bringing him to Knoxville.

"Coach (Donnie) Tyndall's philosophy and his win to win were huge," said Schofield. "I feel he's going to put me in position to be great and he will develop me into a player who can make it to the next level."

Schofield continued, "I feel we can win a national title just with this great group of guys we have here."

Schofield is the first commitment for Tennessee in the class of 2015.
