Shamet commits to Wichita State

Landry Shamet had three more visits scheduled, but on Wednesday he opted to cancel them and commit to Wichita State.

Wichita State added 6-foot-4 guard Landry Shamet to their 2015 recruiting class early Wednesday morning.

Shamet confirmed the news via his Twitter account.

Shamet, a standout at Kansas City (Mo.) Park Hill, committed to Gregg Marshall and his staff over strong interest from a host of schools including Colorado, Illinois and Kansas State. He had visits set up to all three schools.

Shamet, who played for the KC Pumas in the spring and summer, visited Wichita State from Thursday to Saturday of last week.
