Today, Jerome Robinson announced his commitment to Boston College. The slender guard at Raleigh (N.C.) Broughton visited the Eagles officially last weekend and decided to end his recruitment in favor of the ACC program.
Robinson confirmed his pledge via Twitter:
"Taking the leap of faith! and I'm happy to say that I've committed to Boston College!"
Robinson possesses a very nice jump shot with easy three-point range. He's also a talented passer and heady player who fits well into structure. He needs to get stronger but should develop into a fine contributor for the Eagles.
His pledge occurred on the heels of Matt Milon, who also committed to BC in the past couple days. Though neither player ranks in the top 100 or projects as a superstar, let's face it: BC is a rebuilding project and needs to grow from the ground up.
Both Robinson and Milon have competed successfully versus national competition, and more importantly the coaching staff identified them early, rather than relying on late evaluations and attempting to compile their signing class in the spring.
The Eagles hope to improve their standing within the conference on the basis of skill, and their growing 2015 class speaks to that imperative.
