Davis to announce college decision

Eric Davis, Scout.com's No. 44 ranked player in the 2015 class, has set a decision date. He will announce his college choice on September 16th.

Eric Davis is ready to announce his college choice.

Davis, a 6-foot-3 guard out of Saginaw (Mich.) Arthur Hill, informed Scout.com that he will make his decision public at a press conference at his high school on Tuesday, September 16th at 6:00.

Davis took recent official visits to Texas and UNLV. He recently spoke to Scout.com analyst Brian Snow about his trips to both.

“I enjoyed my visit to Texas," Davis told Snow. “It is a real big campus and I like the coaches and the players welcomed me as soon as I got there. It was a good time overall. I liked the whole coaching staff, and it was a real good experience.”

“I didn’t think UNLV was going to be what it was,” Davis told him at that time. “It is a basketball school for sure. It looked like a good fit because Coach (Dave) Rice and his entire staff and players were great.”

Davis also took a recent unofficial visit to Kentucky, but the Wildcats have not offered him a scholarship. The other four finalists on his list are North Carolina State, Michigan State, Michigan and LSU. He's taken unofficial visits to all but LSU.

Davis is regarded as the No. 12 shooting guard in the 2015 recruiting class.
