Brunson picks Villanova

The decision is in, and Villanova has landed one of the top prospects in the class of 2015.

The decision was a tough one, but Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson standout Jalen Brunson has made his choice. The five-star prospect narrowed it down to two over the weekend, and now he will be making his home in the Big East.

In the end it came down to Illinois and Villanova, but the pull of his childhood home proved to win out over the pull of his current home. Brunson after a lot of thought and two official visits chose Villanova at a press conference at his school.

“At this point I would like to announce that I will continue my education at Villanova,” said Brunson at the press conference.

Brunson continued, “It was a tough decision, but this morning I just had a gut feeling."

The No. 1 rated point guard in the class, Brunson entertained offers from schools all over the country and was one of the most sought after recruits in the country. His ability to run a team combined with his ability to score made him one of the toughest prospects in the country to defend all summer long.

Now Brunson becomes the third member of a solid Villanova class. He joins four-star wing Donte Divincenzo and three-star forward Tim Delaney.
