Williams Will Take More Visits

It was a big weekend for Duke in a number of ways. First, on Friday night there was the Duke Charity Game. However, not to be lost in the shuffle was the official visit of Shelden Williams, the unofficial visit of Shavlik Randolph and another trip south for J.J. Redick.

Williams Visit Goes Well

The race for Shelden Williams will go on. The 6-9 forward from Midwest City, Okla., officially visited Duke this weekend but did not make a commitment to the Blue Devils.

"It went pretty well," Williams said. "I had a good time and enjoyed meeting the coaches and players.

"I wasn't going there to commit. I was going there to visit."

So, what's next for Williams? Well, he has a scheduled visit to Illinois the weekend of Sept. 15. He also has a scheduled trip to North Carolina the weekend of Oct. 5. Who knows, he could very well visit Oklahoma and indicated those are the four schools he's looking at right now.

Yet another big man has recruiting junkies hanging on his every move. One day, one of these big fellas is going to pull the trigger and start a chain reaction, but it wasn't Williams, at least not on this weekend.

Williams said that he felt comfortable and wasn't under any pressure to come to a conclusion on his visit to Durham. "They really didn't put any pressure on me. They told me to do what's best for me. There was no pressure."
