Riley Looking At Four

DeForrest Riley, a combo guard from Cincinnati (OH) Winton Woods, is beginning to narrow his college search. Currently, Riley is looking at four schools and has a visit set up with one program.

Riley Looking At Four

DeForrest Riley, a star guard at Winton Woods High who averaged 15 points and led his team in assists with six a game, says that he's currently looking at four programs. Riley is looking at Penn State, Xavier, Yale and Stanford. He has an official visit set up with Penn State for Sept. 21.

Riley is also in the process of applying to Stanford. "I'm finished with my [essays] but I just have to get the teacher references." Riley said. Yale, an Ivy League program, is different from the rest of his schools in that he would be partially responsible for paying his tuition at Yale.

"That's real big," Riley said of having to pay his own way. "At first we decided that we weren't going to go that route and then we talked to them again and decided to take an in-home visit and take another look at it."

Look for Riley to proceed with setting up more visits and eventually reach a decision sometime around October.
