Morrow finds his fit

Nebraska landed one of their top targets on Monday morning.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers had a big win on the football field, and on Monday morning they got a big win for the future of the basketball program. That is because top target and power forward Ed Morrow decided to pull the trigger and picked the Nebraska program.

At around 6-foot-7 and 210 pounds, Morrow’s high motor style appealed to the Cornhuskers for a while. After several unofficial visits to the school, the Nebraska native made his official visit over the weekend, and decided to pull the trigger at his school on Monday morning.

This is a huge commitment for Nebraska. First of all it is a win over a fellow conference rival in Iowa, who was the chief competition for Morrow’s commitment, but it gives the Huskers an athlete and defender down low that they haven’t had in a little while.

The toughness that Morrow brings to the floor is impressive, and that should play right away from day one. Morrow can guard bigger players because he is long and very athletic, but more than anything it is how hard he plays that makes an impression. He is the type of player who always will have a place because of how much he brings to the table.

Along with four-star point guard Glynn Watson and three-star forward Michael Jacobson the Huskers have arguably their best recruiting class ever. If you add in Kansas transfer Andrew White, and it is clear that Nebraska is adding a serious talent infusion into the program.
