Buffalo adds second pledge
Bobby Hurley and Buffalo added their second verbal commitment of the 2015 recruiting class late Wednesday evening. Nick Perkins, a 6-foot-8 power forward from Milan (Mich.) High, verbally committed to the Bulls over strong interest from Akron and Cleveland State. “I just felt like Bobby Hurley has been with me from the beginning of the recruiting period and going through everything,’ Perkins said. “They helped me with my academics. They’ve been there for me. I’ve been their number one guy for a while. It just felt like the right thing to do.” Perkins has been on an unofficial visit to Buffalo and is scheduled to take an official visit to the school beginning on Friday. Buffalo assistant Nate Oats has strong ties to the Michigan area and played a role in Perkins’ decision. “I’ve been knowing him since he coached at Romulus,” Perkins said. “We always knew each other. He always calls me. He told me their four spot is going to be wide open. Nate is a cool dude.” Perkins joins 6-foot-7 wing Nate Navigato, of Geneva (Ill.), to make up their current two-man recruiting class.
