Miller commits to TCU

Jalon Miller found his fit on Sunday. Miller gave a verbal commitment to TCU.

TCU added a vital commitment to their 2015 class on Sunday.

Jalon Miller, of Seagoville (Tex.) High, committed to Trent Johnson and his staff over scholarship offers from Mississippi and Tulane.

“I just felt TCU was the best fit for me,” Miller told “I know the coaches very well. They’ve been recruiting me since I was a sophomore and I feel I can make a big impact on the team next year.”

Miller took official visits to all three schools involved. What stood out about TCU compared to the rest?

“TCU to me was just the best campus I’ve seen on all my visits I’ve been to,” Miller said.

Miller was also impressed with Johnson.

“He’s a real cool person,” he explained. “I feel like his coaching will push me to my limit so I can get to the next level in basketball.”

As a junior, Miller averaged 22.5 points and 13.6 rebounds a game. Miller is TCU’s first commitment of the 2015 class.
