Johnson goes with Rutgers

Kejuan Johnson made a verbal pledge to Rutgers on Thursday.

Kejuan Johnson didn't need long after his official visit to Rutgers to make his college decision.

Johnson, Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy, committed to Eddie Jordan and his staff on Thursday. The commitment comes just five days after taking his official visit to Rutgers with Hargrave teammate Justin Goode.

Hargrave coach AW Hamilton informed Scout.com of the news.

"Coach Jordan and coach [Van] Macon did a great job recruiting Kejuan," Hamilton said. "After his official visit Kejuan loved the school, players and the challenge of playing in the Big 10."

A 6-foot-6 power forward, Johnson is a strong, physical forward. He's active in the lane, rebounds his area well and can finish close to the rim.

Johnson is regarded as a three-star prospect by Scout.com.
