UGA lands in-state pledge

Mark Fox landed another key target to help maintain his program on Wednesday.

Three-star center Derek Ogbeide made his decision on Wednesday and it wasn't an easy one. The 6-foot-8 prospect from Mableton (Ga.) Pebbelbrook issued his commitment to Georgia.

In the end Ogbeide was deciding between Georgia and Houston with those two programs making him a priority target, but Ogbeide at a ceremony at his school picked the local program.

With his ability to run the floor and rebound, Ogbeide's skill set translates immediately to college basketball and gives the Bulldogs some nice added depth on the interior with the added bonus of keeping another one of the Peach State's finest players home.

Now Georgia has a trio of three-star pledges in the class of 2015. Joining Ogbeide is power forward E'ttorian Wilridge and shooting guard Will Jackson. This is a very solid haul for Mark Fox who is now going to focus on five-star small forward Jaylen Brown who will decide in the spring.
