Coach Thinks N'diaye Will Blow Up

Rolando DeLaBarrera has a pretty good eye for talent. Last year, he predicted Otis George would be better than anyone ever expected. This spring, George went from relative unknown to a scholarship player at Louisville. Apparently, DeLaBarrera has another revelation and his name is Ismael N'diaye.

Berkshire's Next Hidden Gem?

At some point this high school season, we are going to find out just how good Homestead (FL) Berkshire SG Ismael N'diaye is. The native of the Ivory Coast will be a key figure in coach Rolando DeLaBarrera's Berkshire rotation.

"I am just so convinced that this guy is a high-major talent," DeLaBarrera said. "He's one of the best defenders around and he's so close to getting his offensive game together. I think this guy is special. He's not the averaged African kid."

The energetic coach says N'diaye is going to get a chance to shine and that's all he needs. "He's going to be playing one and two for me and we have to wait for him to be able to play against Oak Hill and some guys to really find out how good he can be."

Currently, McNeese State, Idaho, American, Rider, Central Florida and Cleveland State are interested. But, according to DeLaBerrera, N'diaye isn't going to sign until the spring period. LSU, Kansas State and Clemson regularly send him mail. However, there's a difference between mail, phone calls, visits and offers and the coach and player are going to wait this one out and see just what kind of a year N'diaye has and whether or not he meets the expectations the coach has for him.
