When: December 6, 2014Top Players: Paul Scruggs, Joey Brunk, Ryan Fazekas, Hyron Edwards, Jermaine Cousinard, Damien Jefferson, K.J. Walton, Kyle Guy, Caleb Swanigan, Brennan Gillis, Quentin Goodin, David Sloan Looking Forward To: This is the top single day showcase in the state of Indiana and features some of the best players and teams going at it. One of the more interesting games will be Barr Reeve against Marquette Catholic which is a rematch of the 1A state title game from a year ago. Marquette Catholic features Providence signee Ryan Fazekas, and it could be the best game of the day. There is a lot to like about this event though besides the title rematch. The improvement Scruggs has made from last year to this year is going to be interesting to see. He is one of the top guards in the 2017 class, and word is he has made a big step forward. Also seeing if anybody can stop Swanigan will be interesting, as he is one of the top bigs in the entire country. Also there is a lot to like from East Chicago Central. Junior Damien Jefferson and sophomore Jermaine Cousinard have big time potential, and this is going to be a stage for them to show off how talented they are against maybe the top guard in the state of Indiana in senior K.J. Walton. Add in Taylor Co having one of the best guard duos in the area with Quentin Goodin and David Sloan, and this should be a great day of basketball at Southport High School.
