Vrankovic claims three offers

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Antonio Vrankovic was among the prospects at the Kreul Classic that caught Scout's eye. What's his current recruiting situation?

A host of quality teams and players participated in the Kreul Classic in Ft. Lauderdale this past weekend. Perhaps the player drawing the most buzz was 6-foot-10, 265-pound post player Antonio Vrankovic.

A senior at Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) Pine Crest, Vrankovic has a big, thick frame and is equipped with some impressive tools on the offensive end of the floor. He can score on the block, has very good touch and is a talented passer out of the post.

“I think the best attribute about my game is my passing in the low post and everyone around the court,” Vrankovic said. “My court vision is pretty good. My game is back to the basket, maybe face up sometimes with a short jumper. I think I can make my teammates better.”

Duke was in to watch Vrankovic on Friday. Georgia and Indiana have also been in to watch him recently.

San Francisco seems to have done the most with Vrankovic, as they’ve had him on campus for an official visit.

“I took a visit to San Francisco, but I don’t want to make my decision because the deeper I go into the season more coaches are coming.”

To go with an offer from San Francisco, Vrankovic also claims offers from LaSalle and Yale.
