Blakeney set for decision
The decision has been made for five-star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney. The one time Louisville commitment is now ready to announce his final choice and will do so this week. Blakeney is considered the No. 5 shooting guard and the No. 22 player overall in the 2015 class. His calling card is his ability to put the ball in the basket as well as virtually anybody in the class. Now Blakeney has confirmed to Scout.com that he will announce his decision at 4:30 p.m. on January 2. This is big because LSU, Missouri, and Kentucky have all put in significant time recruiting Blakeney who is one of the top pure scorers around. At 6-foot-4 and 175 pounds, Blakeney has the ability to make shots from deep or score off the dribble by beating his man. Blakeney does need to show a bit more discretion in terms of the shots he takes, but his ability to score makes him a tough one-on-one matchup. All three of Blakeney’s finalists received visits, and all are perceived to be in the mix with the decision just days away.
